Regulatory Affairs & Specification Manager

Helmond / Georgsmarienhütte | Prinsen Berning | 36–40 hours

What are you going to do?

As Regulatory Affairs & Specification Manager at Prinsen Berning, you will lead the Regulatory Affairs, specification management, and team development efforts. You will ensure reliable specifications, up-to-date product data, accurate claims and labeling, and clear procedures within an international organization.
You will work at both Prinsen Berning locations: Helmond and Georgsmarienhütte, near Osnabrück. In Helmond, the focus is on powders and instant beverages; in Georgsmarienhütte, on bars. You will report to Petra, Director of R&D, Quality & Sustainability, and be part of her leadership team.

Your core tasks

  • You are responsible for developing and ensuring the accuracy of specifications, claims, and labeling;
  • You bring structure to roles, work processes, and decision-making, both internally and in dealings with clients;
  • You will lead the RA and specifications team in Helmond and Georgsmarienhütte, totaling 3 full-time equivalents;
  • You ensure that your team has access to relevant legislation from within and outside the EU;
  • You monitor the team’s progress, quality, and output;
  • You step in to help with the content when needed;
  • You will represent Prinsen Berning’s Regulatory Affairs department to clients;
  • You will work closely with teams such as R&D, Quality, Sales, Operations, and customers.

What we ask

  • HBO+ or university-level education and thinking skills, preferably with a focus on Food Law & Regulatory Affairs;
  • In-depth knowledge of food regulations within and outside the EU;
  • Experience with data governance and process standardization within RA and requirements management;
  • Fluency in spoken and written English, Dutch, and German;
  • Willingness to work approximately 50% of the time in Georgsmarienhütte, including overnight stays.

What we offer

At Prinsen Berning, you’ll have the freedom and responsibility to help shape the RA and specification management team at a growing international company.

You’ll receive a salary of up to €7,500 gross per month on a full-time basis. The exact amount depends on your experience.

In addition, Prinsen Berning offers:

  • Holiday entitlement: you will receive 30 days’ holiday per year, consisting of 20 statutory holiday days, 5 days above the statutory minimum and 5 ADV days;
  • A leased car;
  • Stay at a comfortable hotel while you’re working in Georgsmarienhütte;
  • Pension scheme (5.15% personal contribution);
  • The option to work from home up to one day a week;
  • A bonus plan that can amount to up to two months’ salary per year.

Half of the bonus is based on your own performance, and half on Prinsen Berning’s performance. This policy applies to each full calendar year worked.
