ESH Officer | Helmond | Prinsen B.V. | HBO | 40 hours

Are you an environmental, safety and health specialist within the food industry? Do you have experience in drafting, improving and implementing ESH policies and communicating them operationally within an organization? Then we would like to meet you!

What are you going to do?

With your knowledge and expertise, you influence the ESH culture and, in your role as ESH specialist, you are involved on a daily basis in all processes in which ESH plays a role. In addition to developing, operationalizing, and safeguarding, you will be responsible for translating the safety and sustainability goals formulated by the organization into concrete guidelines and implementing them, as formulated in our ESG strategy in the areas of Environment (E), Safety (S), and Working Conditions (H). In addition, you will be responsible for formulating and implementing safety and environment-driven projects; for example, to reduce CO2 emissions, increase the use of more sustainable raw materials and packaging, and optimize machine safety. You have an affinity with sustainability and contribute ideas on how Prinsen can professionalize its operations.

Your core tasks

• Drafting guidelines: Formulating, approving and implementing procedures and standards in the field of ESH.
• Supervising audits: Preparing and supervising both internal and external audits.
• Strengthening the ESH agenda: Making active contributions to agenda items concerning process safety and environmental care.
• Realising ESG objectives: Being involved in our efforts to improve sustainability.
• Linking departments: With your knowledge, you ensure optimal cooperation between ESH and production.
• Organising training courses: Training colleagues in the field of safety, health, the environment and first aid.

What we ask

For this position, you have at least 3 years of relevant work experience as an ESH Specialist, preferably in the food industry. In addition, you have:

• HBO work and thinking level (preferably HVK or comparable).
• A results-oriented and innovative attitude.
• Strong communication skills.
• Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written
